After seeing Chouans Gimlet winning BIS at the World Show in Denmark way back, the interest for this rather rare breed was evoked. And the chance of visiting Mrs. Heidi Winkelmann of the Esculap kennel and showing some of her dogs during my years in Germany, strengthened the fascination for this breed.
When seeing a young Soletrader My Aphrodisiac entering the ring at Crufts some years later I knew I had found what I was looking for and a couple of years later a Soletrader puppy arrived at Oslo Airport Gardermoen...
Finally a PBGV - Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen
To my great pleasure the Soletrader kennel allowed me to borrow this amazing and entertaining dog, Trixy, and bring her to Norway where she became Top PBGV in 2011 and 2012. I have like her from I first saw her as a puppy and she has turned out to be a “true type” PBGV with very sound confirmation and impressive movements. A fun dog, both at home and in the show ring!
